"May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice." Ps 141:2
Please remember that placing Mass intentions for the deceased or for special occasions or anniversaries or requesting sanctuary gifts in memory of your loved ones also helps to support the church.

Dear God, thank You for the gift of our country, founded upon the sacrifices and hard work of our forefathers, who pledged to one another their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor for the cause of freedom and unity. You have watched over and guided America to be both strong internally and a blessing to all the nations of the earth. You are our source of Salvation and our Blessed Assurance. You will never fail us, for You are faithful.
Heavenly Father, we ask You today to please bless our national leaders and representatives as they work to solve our present financial difficulties. Please give them Your Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel and knowledge, to act prudently and in the best interests of all.
Please give Your peace and provision to all who are suffering financial hardship at this time. Let them feel Your presence, protection, and Divine Mercy, for You alone are our hope. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Amen.
by Charlie and Martha Shedd (Celebration in the Bedroom)
Lord, help us find those places in us which we have never opened to your love. Show us the subterranean chambers we have forgotten, the dark rooms where some small part of us is hiding. These, too, we hope to share - the musty and the moldy, the decayed and rancid. Cleanse us that we might more fully uncover all of us, known and unknown. Beginning now, lead us toward a total relationship with each other and with you. Amen
"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." - James 5:16

Never underestimate the power that comes when a parent pleads with God on behalf of a child. Who knows how many prayers are being answered right now because of the faithful prayers of a parent ten or twenty years ago? It is not too late to pray for the child who has brought only tears. There is nothing more special, more precious than that time that a parent spends struggling and pondering with God on behalf of a child. - Rev. Max Lucado
